Backpack Full of Cash

We hope you will join us on October 12 in the Drake High Little Theater for a special evening exploring the impacts of privatization and commodification, to public education at the local, national and international levels.

We are honored to be joined by Dr. Frank Adamson, Senior Policy and Research Analyst at the Stanford Center for Opportunity Policy in Education, who will present his research, as we make the links between local charter schools and the larger privatization movement.

Following his presentation, Dr. Adamson, will introduce an exclusive screening of the critically acclaimed new documentary “Backpack Full of Cash.” The film, which is narrated by Matt Damon, explores the impact corporate-driven reform of public education is having on America’s most vulnerable children, and communities across the country.

Immediately following the film, Dr. Adamson will host on a Q&A session.
